All ribbons are not created equally and vary considerably in texture, thickness, and fibre content. Many cheap ribbons are made out of thin, plastic-like material that does not 'hold' a knot well, as it tends to slip and loosen.
For best results with any bows, choose thick, dense material that has a texture or grip to it, as the bow will maintain its shape and design much better.
Double-sided ribbon ensures that the right side is always facing up.
For large or heavier bows, choose wired ribbon to help prevent drooping and to crease the crimps in position.

I know there are a lot of tutorials out there, but I received a Bowdabra bow maker years ago and it was a great gift. I used it today to make a bow for my Christmas wreath. No fail bows, every single time. https://www.exquisitelyunremarkable.com/2014/06/patriotic-ribbon-wreath.html

Hello. One of-the easiest way is to make the two loops— the bunny ears —crossing knot them.
It depends on the style of bow you want. You can make a circular loop and sew together. Then take a long ribbon, tie around the center and let it trail.
If you want a bow that is fluffy, use wired edge ribbon and make a loop then twist the ribbon. Repeat making loops until you have the bow as large as you want.
Another way is to lay your ribbon flat and fold in multiple loops. So if you want a 4" bow, layer 8" over and over. Then cut a small notch in the center on the top & bottom of the ribbon. Use floral wire to tie at the notches. Then you can fluff your bow.

It depends on the type of bow you are making, but many swear by the bodabra.
