Gilded Eggshell hanging
I saw eggshell with the middle sprayed gold glued onto a white backing, very cool. Do you know this ?

Coincidentally I saw something similar 30 years ago at a local museum. You would need to carefully gold leaf or paint by hand the insides then I would use E6000 to mount on your surface. Foam core poster board would not work well, I would see what your craft and hobby shops (if your area is opening up, mine are not), to see what they have to offer. Another possibility would be to roam a big box home improvement center and look for possibilities. You can get a piece of sheet metal, then paint it and add a fastener to hang. MDF may work in the same way. Might be heavy, so see which would be better suited for your project. Goid luck! Hope you post your project o we can see it when complete. 🌞
