We have a mannequin and would like to grow succulent plants out of it but not sure where to start. Has anyone done this. Also a wreath.

Old jars wicks wax cent for the small you want you could put flowers around the out side in the jars so they could be seen in the wax or put crushed mints in the wax for a peppermint smell for Christmas and so on candy corns for Halloween
Hi Elisabeth. It is fun and easy. I bought a big box of soy wax shavings to use, and also the wicks, scents and dyes. Then I went to Good will and bought an old bowl and pan to make a double broiler to use. I also picked up some old jars to use. You can also look for tea cups, or other decorative glassed to use. Add water to your pan. Once it starts coming to a boil turn it down and put and put the bowl on top to make the double broiler. Add your wax and let it melt. Once it has melted then take the end of the wicks to get the metal piece on the bottom coated and stick it into the center of your jar. Carefully take the top of the wick and wrap it around a pencil, and lay across the jar. This will help hold it in place when you put the melted wax in. The first time I didn't do this and my wick just kept floating to the top. Next stir in your scents and color. After it is all mixed well pour into the jars. After they have set remove the pencil and trim your wicks. Good Luck and have fun!
