Repurposing what you already have or can find for free is such a great feeling and I'm sharing 3 ways that home stylists and designers use bottles as props to add interest and color to a room.
Look at bottles perhaps as not something to toss straight into the recycling bin but to hang onto for display. We all purchase products that come in glass bottles and more decorative bottles can be found at thrift stores and discount outlets. Here are some ideas for great designer vignettes!
Take a bottle and simply tie a beautiful ribbon on it and fill it with a single flower. It's a great way to add a small touch of color to a room and choose your ribbon appropriately. This bottle looks vintage but was found for just a few dollars at a big box. store.
Another idea is to fill with water and add a couple drops of food coloring....then place on a windowsill and let the light shine through.
This grouping looks elegant and they are glass water bottles! I soaked them in the sink to remove labels and used a bit of cleaner made to remove sticky residue. Once clean they were ready to put a small grouping of flowers in and line up for display.
Such beauty for a wedding or summer party! More tips on my blog at Shabbyfufublog that I'll link for you below.
Labels don't necessarily need to be removed from your bottles and can be lovely as they are! Line them up artistically on a shelf and put a flower in each for instant art.
