I’m currently in the process of building up my stock for Williamsburg’s 2nd Sunday Art and Music Festival. I wanted to create a few classic styled upcycled bottles.

These are really simple but slightly time consuming. You will need a hot glue gun, an old juice or wine bottle and jute or twine. I scored a bunch of it from the thrift store. Shop around for the best prices.
I wanted to keep them neutral and subtle to appeal to a wider buyer market. I can do unique and really its what I prefer, but the upcycled bottles aren’t exactly for me.
Start at the top or bottom, putting lite lines of hot glue on and press the jute down straight. Coil it all the way until you’re happy with your classic styled upcycled bottles.

Kathie taylor on Apr 01, 2015I did the same and added small seashells cascading down from the neck. I used fishing line to connect the shells, spacing them maybe 1/2 inch apart. They sell the same at Michael's
