Personalize your room by creating simple curtain tiebacks. These are very budget friendly, easy to put on/off, and give a great coastal vibe. I chose jute instead of sisal, as this has a softer feel and is more flexible to work with.
We'll start off the process with a picture of the finished tieback.
Measure out the length of the jute. Then use a twist tie to group together three strands of jute. Start braiding.
Here is the tieback with a braid started.
Finished braid segment.
Steps to take for whipping the ends of the braids to avoid unraveling. Simple and easy as tying your shoes.
