Hi, Friends! Today I am excited to share with you how to make your very own Bentwood Lantern!

I love bentwood pendants and bamboo veneer crafts so much so I figured out a way to make one for myself. LOVE the result, hope you love it too!

First, grab your edgebanding.

Search for a nice shaped mason jar in the closet.

Cut 2 pieces of the band for the neck of the jar and 8 pieces for the body of the jar (keep them little bit longer).

Attach one piece at the neck, white side up.

Then using hot glue or rapid adhesive, start attaching the pieces to the jar at the neck. Give them some camber while attaching them.

Attach all 8 pieces.

Then to disguise the glue residues cover the neck with the last piece, brown side up.

Finishing touches: simply braid some jute rope and attach it to the candleholder as a handle.

The handle will be like this.

Finally attach one more braid to the neck and you are done!

Do you like this craft? I have another craft project with edge banding and I will share it with you soon. Hope that you like my crafts. Please note that you may watch the video tutorials for all my project at my instagram account @handmade_selen
