DIY Painted Lamp Shade

I looked and looked everywhere for an orange lamp shade for my son's room to no avail. I ended up picking up a white one, but it just washed out the lamp that I had purchased. I was working on another project using orange acrylic paint when it hit me... time to paint the lamp shade!
Turn a plain white lamp shade into something special! All you need is paint.
So simple to accomplish - nice even strokes with a brush is all you need.
Once you've completely covered it, set it aside to dry. Once dry, try it on the lamp with the light on to see how consistent the paint is and decide on whether you want another coat. You could easily spice this up by adding a stencil or vinyl!
Enjoyed the project?
