DIY Seashell Frame Art

I love seashells and have them all over my home. For this project I decided to use pretty, iridescent pieces of shells instead. I took an old thrift store frame .... and made it a pretty, coastal treasure. It's art with the mirrored glass and "beach life" painted on the front but can also be used with a photo!
Pretty iridescent shells layered onto an old (and cheap!) thrift store frame. I sprayed the glass to make it "mirrored" and then painted "beach life" on the front. Sprinkled a bit of sand....and sealed.
I come across frames all the time at the thrift store. Pricing anywhere from .25 to .99!
Paint the frame white first (I used a "sand" addition to the paint...details on the blog post below) Just work your way around the frame hot gluing the shells in layers.
"Sandy" texture in the paint.....
Up close of those pretty shells I love so much.
