High school graduation gifts should be memorable. With so many of our kids going off to college and leaving the nest, they can easily get homesick. Creating a custom Monogram Door Hanger for them to keep in their dorm room or on their door, may bring a little bit of home to them. These make for great year round gifts for anyone celebrating an occasion and can be customized so many ways. With plenty of scrapbook paper supplies and findings to choose from, the possibilities are endless. Not only do these make for great graduation gifts, these also can be created for Baby showers, birthdays, holidays and other occasions. Think outside the box and be creative. Some photos are posted below of supplies and finished designs. View the video to see the process.
Here's the supplies you'll need buy some are optional and you can use what other findings you come across. You'll need a LG Wooden Monogram Letter, Scrapbook Paper, Felt, Mod Podge, Brushes, Acrylic Paint, Hot glue gun, Hot glue sticks, stapler (but not necessary), pencil, scissors, Exacto knife (not necessary), burlap flowers, buttons, lace, and other finidngs.
Here's the completed Letter M shown in the video. The scrapbook paper book I found had cute sheets with pictures that I was able to cut out. My daughter has a weiner dog, loves her camera and rides her teal bike. I cut those out and used mod podge to seal over.
You can add pictures, mementos and such to really customize these door hangers for any occasion. These also are great to decorate for baby showers, Seasonal holidays and birthdays to display for guests to see.
