Hide precious or unsightly items with a hollowed out book. Check out the pictures for the quick steps and the blog post for detailed instructions.
I used the hollow book to hide my phone while it charges.
Glue the pages and compress the book while it dries. Leave out the first page.
Cut the pages to create the hollow spot.
Glue the inside of the hollow cavity and adhere the first page to the top to cover up any cut marks.
Cut out the cover page and you're finished up.

I think it is genius. I had wanted to create a charging station. We have 3 cell phones, & 3 Kindles. We all love books. I doubt everything would ever be charging at the same time, but I think cutting out and making it look like 3 books but with hollow insides would look very nice. Thanks for the inspiration. I will also figure out how to make it fire proof for those who have that as a concern.

Great idea, I would put a small slab of flat stone under the phone (I.e. flag or lime stone) will absorb and dissipate the heat better than insulated paper and maybe small holes in the cover. It isnā€™t always, but at times the phone gets hotā€¦ best not to take the chance.
