How to Hand-stitch a Card

1 Hour
Easy
Here's an easy way to add personality (and beauty!) to a plain white card: hand-stitch it! I'll show you how in this simple tutorial...
First, you'll need embroidery floss, a needle, a pencil, and a plain card (or two)...
Draw your design on the card, adding dots where you want to stitch. I ended up making the dots a little closer than what is pictured in order to make the corners more rounded. This is also a great craft for older kids--it reminds me of the old punch sewing cards we used to practice on when I was little. :)
Finishing up the card by knotting that last stitch!
You can make hearts, clouds, or any simple design with this technique. You can also make a whole set of hand-stitched cards for a gift--they are so pretty! Have a lovely {and creative} day!
