Lots of people do reverse canvas but for me I want to get a bigger chunkier frame them for less than two dollars you can make a dollar store canvas looks super nice

You’ll need a canvas that you like, I picked this up at the dollar store

1x2 piece of wood

Stain

Nails

Tape Measure

Staple Remover

Stapler

Step one:

Flip over your canvas so the staples are facing up

Then begin removing all the staples with the staple remover

Step two:

Remove the frame and lay the canvas out to measure the open canvas

Step three:

Cut your 1x2 to the size you want making sure you leave some rooms to staple the canvas on the new frame

Step four:

Stain or paint your wood

Step five:

Nail them together making a box shape

Step six:

Lay the canvas over the wood frame / box and staple on

Step seven:

Cut off any remaining fabric that shows

This should be how it turns out!

I love the final product!! Makes my $1 canvas look 100% better!!!!

Looks great on my Laundry room shelf.

What a great idea! I have a canvas print in my laundry room and scrap lumber that this would really make it stand out and look much nicer. Thanks!
