It's Fall Ya'll Rag Quilt Tutorial #homeforfall

This quilt is a great scrap buster for those of you that are like me and have way.too.many flowing scraps flowing from every nook and cranny in my sewing room.
This quilt uses the simple log cabin quilt blog. Except Blown Up...Like instead of using itty bitty strips, or making a tiny little 10" blog, I made huge 40" blocks. Then Hacked them. Fun...Right?
First I gathered up all my 2" wide strips of fabric. I needed a bunch. Then I started sewing and sewing until I had made a log cabin quilt block that measured about 44" square.
Then I folded the quilt blog on point a couple times and cut to get those strips. Then I sewed the strips together using the rag quilt method. And now I have a beautiful rag quilt in the fall colors. Perfect to ring in the school year and cooler weather!
For more information on how to sew up this quilt and a few more pictures make sure to stop by my blog.
