Let me show you how easy it is to make this Rock Cactus Garden. This is a fun craft for all ages and best yet, this cactus garden will thrive even if you have two brown thumbs.
I gathered river rocks at the river. I deliberately selected sizes and shapes that looked like succulents. If you do not have access to a river, you can buy similar stones in craft stores.

I painted the rocks in shades of green with acrylic craft paint and then added decorative details with paint pens.

When dry I sealed them with Modpodge sealer.
I choose a container, this is one I bought from Walmart, it is actually a bowl but I liked the color and shape. I filled it with play sand.
When it is full almost to the top, it is time to arrange the rocks in the sand.
Then I added small decorative stones to fill in any sand that was showing between the rocks. You can pick these up at Walmart or craft stores.
Then, you are ready to gift this everlasting arrangement or place someone in your home. I put mine on the side of my whirlpool tub. You can see the detailed instructions at the link below.
