Make Your Own Stenciled Leaf Jars

I'm sure you've seen these stenciled leaf jars all over the place. You might be wondering how you can make them without having access to a digital craft cutter to make your own stencil. Well, I'm here to show you how to make these without using any special tools. It's so easy, too! So let's get started!
To make these you'll need to search coloring page of a leaf online. Pick a simple leaf shape & then right click & save to your computer. Resize it to fit to your jars. I used google docs to do this. It has a handy ruler at the top of the page you can use to size your images.
Print out your leaf image onto white card stock, and then cut it out.
Trace the leaf shaped onto the back of contact paper & then cut them out.
Then get a mason jar. Make sure it is smooth on one side with no raised lettering or design.
Remove the contact paper & stick your leaf onto the smooth side of your jar.
Give your jars one coat of chalk paint. Let dry. Then carefully remove the leaf stencil.
Fill the bottom of your jar with barley (or white beans or corn), stick in a battery operated candle & tie on a twine bow. So cute! :)

I love the idea for fall. I think for Christmas you could use a snowflake or maybe a snowman. I'm going to save your idea but wait to make a Christmas one. I need a couple of homemade gifts. This will be perfect. Thanks so much.
