Mini Vase Makeover

I'm so excited to yet again be collaborating with some amazing fellow bloggers! We are starting a new monthly challenge called Create & Share. We are going to focus on either one item or a specific decor style. This month's item was this cute little vase from Amazon. This White Petite Wall Mounting Ceramic Vase retails for $9.99. It's super adorable and very versatile. With that being said our challenge was to do with it as we pleased.
Since I got a little chalk spray paint happy in my previous post about DIY Wall Art I thought I would continue the trend to this challenge. It was a fairly quick and simple DIY project...which is soooo nice because I'm mostly redoing furniture and that's not always the quickest of projects! :)

I started with a couple coats of Rustoleum Chalkboard Spray Paint. I liked the clean look of the white but I thought it would be fun to do the chalkboard so that I could switch it up with how I use it and it could be personalized.
I then used a Liquid Chalk Paint Pen to write "Basil" on the front of the vase. My husband is 100% Italian and an amazing cook so basil is used quite frequently at our home. If you use it a lot I highly recommend heading to Trader Joes because they have fairly large basil plants for only $3.99. It always lasts forever for us...when we water it! We can sometimes forget to water plants. :) For more info on this project and other projects please head over to my website!
