I think you just attach the hooks where you want them and enjoy!
I am not sure what you are asking, Roasalie. If you have the hooks for hanging you can make or buy a wreath. Read instructions about command hooks and how to use them.

Command hooks are so easy and convenient to use. Just stick them up wherever you want your wreaths.
Stick them to the front door and hang your wreaths either from the frames themselves or by adding ribbon.

Just hang them where you like, use the recommended Command hook for the weight of the wreath.
Hello . There are two ways do use the command hooks.
Either on the viewing surface of the door and hope that you will be disguising they hanging device.
Or on the other side of the door upside down and you loop a piece of fishing line twine or decorative ribbon over the door and onto the upside down command hook.
I hope you find the perfect solution
Loop a ribbon around the top of the wreath and tack it to the top of the door. This way you can easily adjust the height

Actually I used to tack the ribbon or string to the top of the door not on any side. There is enough gap between the top of the door and top jam for a tack.
Collect your wreaths and start displaying them.
it is much harder to do with curtains on the doors since you are doing this inside- you can hang the wreaths behind the curtains and open the curtains during the day to see the wreaths
How do you hang a wreath on a double door?
If you have double front doors, hang a wreath on each one. For an extra-tall door -- 8-feet high or so -- hang two or three wreaths, one below the other, joining them with fishing line or ribbon.
I hang my wreaths by using a command hook on the other side of the door, turned upside down. Then run a ribbon through the wreath, over the top, and under the hook.
If you want to add garland, you can use the command hooks to secure that as well.
I have posted pictures of my finished project! I have enough suggestions, thank you. Please look for photos!
You can either put the hooks on the french door or on the top of the back of the door to hang a long ribbon attached to the wreath on the front of the door.
Folks,
Please read the entire conversation thread before commenting. The door in the question has curtains which impede direct contact with the glass.
Attach the Command hooks to glass on your french doors.
You should be able to follow the instructions for the Command Hooks and have great success.
This project ws a great success by hanging the wreaths from the curtain rods. Thank you.
Rosalie, I see you have curtains on the doors. Could you hang the Command hook higher (above the curtain) then hang some chain down, so the actual wreath would hang from the chain?
