This is the way to do it

You can buy the hooks at any hardware store or Menards, Homedepot, Lowes, or Amazon
We always anchored a pretty hook in the ceiling and then tied a macrame rope to the cage top.
Use a hook and anchor then attach rope
I also would use a decorative hook in the ceiling. To make it easier to reach, you could hang the cage itself from a chain or large S hook attached to the hook.
Younger to find a stud you cod buy a stud finder or try taping on the ceiling and when the sound gets deeper thats the stud.dril a hole with a bit one smaller then the hole then screw in a large hook and hang cage from your hook with a chain
Agreed a pretty rope and a ceiling anchor would look nice!
Use screw in hooks, similar to how you would hang a plant hanger. Then you could use rope or chain to hang from the hook to the top of the cage.
I have mine hanging from a hook placed in the ceiling. The birdcage has a chain attached.
If you don't have much room, consider hanging your bird cage from the ceiling by screwing a hook into the ceiling joist. Place it a good distance away from the nearest light fixture; too much in one space can look overbearing.
You can get hooks that anchor into the ceiling. Be sure to know how much the cage weighs and purchase hooks for at minimum that weight.

Another option is to hang the cage from a carabiner clip, then clip it to a ceiling mount.
