How did you get mirror off wall without breaking it?

Tape it and that should help to keep it from breaking. Further details would depend on the way it is adhered to the wall.

Getting a mirror that is glued on to the wall isn't going to be easy and there is always a risk of breaking it. You can find a sheet tape at the local box hardware stores. It kind of resembles a roll of gift wrap, and all you have to do is tape it across the mirror. Then use a crowbar and carefully pull the mirror away from the wall. More than likely it will break, but if it does, you won't have to worry about the pieces going everywhere and cutting you and they will be stuck to the tape. If you can manage to get if off the wall with little damage to the mirror, you might have some damage to the drywall underneath it.

ALWAYS protect. Cardboard, a t shirt, foamboard is awesome..tape..Then use plastic wrap and go across what you can in one big long piece weave around around corners around and across, messy as you make it wont matter its a good grip with the plastic. Easy to lift, press in agaisnt the wall and up a bit then gently holding the bottom center of the mirror, back a bit. If its stuck, you can put a tension rod with a cane end against the frame top or the center plastic wrap and anchor it against the floor whilst you look for wire, brackets or screws to wiggle out of. Alternatively, take toothed pliers and/or mini crowbar and pry off wall.
