How to cover paneling temporarily? I rent.

I am not allowed to paint or permanently change the paneling in our rental. Does anyone have any wall covering ideas that are temporary?

you can use peel and stick wallpaper from Walls Need Love. It won't ruin the paneling underneath.
Here is some info for you

Use fabric adhered to walls with liquid starch. A medium weight fabric works best---think denim weight or cotton twill weight. (I used a woven cotton upholstery print.) Cut the fabric to the size of your wall, a section at a time. Dip the fabric into a sink of liquid starch. Wring out and smooth on the wall. (This is a messy project so use plastic on the floor.) As the fabric dries, it will dry stiffer and the wrinkles disappear. I used this technique in my mother's kitchen and it looked great---looked so nice, the apartment manager asked her to leave it up for the next tenant. When you want to remove the fabric, just pull it off the wall and wipe off the wall with water. Good luck.
Hi Michelle curtains might work for you, you could use inexpensive sheets and pvc pipe for rods to keep the price down.
I would use soft, guazy curtains. It could look terrific!

Use the "Command" hooks to fasten things to the walls so the supports can be removed without damaging the walls. Another option is to ignore the walls or move to another place.
How about hanging up a wall tapestry - bunch of ideas over here: https://amzn.to/3hqP4b9
Flat king-size sheets can cover a large area quickly. I'd suggest you use push pins or thumb tacks at key points to hold the fabric in place. Though the starch method may work well on painted dry wall surfaces, I'd be careul about applying it and making the paneling very moist as it may create warping or damaging it in some waoy. You could also create panels of art using poster board covered with fabric or your own art work to draw attention there rather than the paneling.
You could hang a tapestry or pretty sheets with command strips.

You could also create a fun gallery wall by hanging framed scrapbook paper, photos and other art with Command S trips .
I would get a pretty piece of fabric and hang it on the wall with sticky velcro.

You can make a cornstarch temporary wallpaper glue and cover it. You can see how I did it here: https://www.flippingtheflip.com/2014/05/office-papers-papered-wall-done-yay-fun.html
