HI. wrap foil or elastic band around base of candle.
Hi Kathie,
This is a link of what to do if your candles are too big or too small at the base:
https://www.ehow.com/how_8188590_keep-tall-candles-straight-holders.html
Use a regular candle, light it and hold it sideways over the candle holder until wax drips inside of it then while the wax is still hot put push your candle down in the hot wax and hold until the melted wax holds. You can use any kind of putty, plumbers putty, silly putty or the stuff you hang posters on the wall with inside your candle holder to make a tight fit for candles.
I use a thin strip of plastic wrap around the base of the candle.
Hi Kathie, we drip a little candle wax inside the candle holders first and then squish the candles in the hot wax. Just be careful not to burn yourself.
I do what Michelle Leslie suggests. Light the candle and drip some wax onto the holder and place the candle in the melted wax holding it upright as the melted wax hardens
here is some info
stickum is one product you can use to put on bottom of the candles to keep them straight

Really quick responses!!!!👍️
I do two things. I put a rubber band on the end of my stick candles and I drip some wax into the bottom of the candle holders.
If the candle won't stay on the candle stick at all, its bottom might be quite a bit smaller than the candlestick opening. Place a piece of strong double-sided tape in the bottom of the hole to help the candle stay put, using more tape on the sides of the hole, if necessary. Regular packaging tape, medical tape or even duct tape will do; just keep the tape out of view or it will be unsightly. Alternatively, tape a flat-headed thumbtack pointy end up in the bottom of the hole, and jam the center of the candle bottom onto the tack. Wrapping the bottom of the candle in foil is another way to use up the extra space and prevent wobbles.
A candle that's only a little loose may just need help staying put. To fix the problem, light the candle and drip a pool of wax into the bottom of the hole in the candle stick. Press the problem candle's bottom into the wet wax, holding it upright until the wax hardens enough to keep the candle in place. Pouring liquid wax from a lit jar candle will also work. You can also buy small containers of pliable wax at craft stores that will work.
You can make use of plastic wrap strips or elastic band around the candle.
I’d fill the gap with something not flammable or that not would melt like foil tucked discreetly in there. While I like the suggestions of dripping some wax in there, I wonder how hard that would be to clean out depending on your candle holders.
Hi Kathie, here is a simple way to solve your problem, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPGNhZm5I_A
I use a lighter to melt the bottom edges of the candlestick and then shove it into the holder.
I've often resorted to melting the bottom end of the candle slightly and inserting into the candle holder to get a firm "hold".
You may need to widdle down the end with a knife to make them fit properly
I used to purchase a thin foam, cut into disks, and place under the candlestick. I've also seen people put a few drops of candle wax but that seems rather messy.
