Quick and Simple Way to Decorate a .99 Dish

Feeling in the fall spirit, I decided to paint on a piece of glass I purchased at a thrift shop for 99 cents. The dish was not too large, perfect for homemade goodies for Thanksgiving. This dish was bought while I was on a camping trip. I had a small set of enamel paints and other craft supplies I had packed and decided to sit up one night, after hubby went to bed and paint. Let me say, I do not turn into a pumpkin after midnight...lol...I am a night person. Although, I may be a grouchy pumpkin if I have to get up early in the morning.

The small paint set did not have orange, so I mixed red and yellow and made my own.
What do you think? I really liked the orange color. However, I needed a little more orange so I stretched the mixture by adding a drop of water.
Brown was another color I didn't have so I mixed red and green and made my own brown to use for the stem and other accents.
I added leaves on each side of the stem.
To make the pumkins appear to be in a field, I added grass on the bottom.
I added a few highlights and curly cues to give the pumpkin life.
Silvey is ready for bed.
This is the side that will be seen. Sad, the bottom shows more color.
This is the bottom. I will coat the piece with Mod Podge dishwasher safe paste when I get home.
