My sister-in-law and I had a great time making this Homecoming Mum. We were given a list of things expected to be incorporated into this mum. And we delivered.
We started with the heart, adding the lights and tulle/ribbon
Loop the lights in on the middle heart board.
First hand stitch each piece of (Wide) Ribbon/Tulle. Then gather it to fit the heart before glueing it onto the heart board, for fullness.
Next, make the neck strap.
Add neck strap to heart board. Next make ribbon strips and add in layers. Start from the bottom to the top.
In this case. We added another piece of board to the bottom of the heart, for fullness. Then we started adding the ribbon strips.
Dressed up the four bears. Two bears, to be used in the center of the main heart. And two bears to be used on the swings, hanging on the sides of the mum.
Made two swings for the bears.
Added the mums, bears, crown, letter, pearls, and other little accessories on the top heart with the ribbon & tulle.
Added/glued the back boards and attached the battery pack pouch.
Here is the pouch made.
Boa added to the sides of the mum. Then completely glued the final top heart piece.
Here is one of the ribbon strips made. We used about 100 strips. Use your imagination. We sewed our pieces instead of using the staple. Just looks better & more secure.
Here is one of the bells attached to the bottom of a ribbon. We just added some bling-bling to it.

    Absolutely Beautiful!!!

May I ask, did you use 3 of the cardboard hearts when assembling? And the oval piece for the ribbon/streamers?

Thank you for your inspiration. Hope I can do even half as good a job!
