How to Make Tinted Mason Jars in a Few Simple Steps

Mason jars have been pretty hot in home decor and have so many uses. Personally, I find places to put them in almost every room! To pretty them up, I decided to tint them in various colors to give them a fresh look and match my decor. Give it a try for yourself!
Tools and materials:
- Mason jar
- Food coloring
- Mod Podge
- Oven
- Stirring utensil
1. Pour Mod Podge
Pour ModPodge into your Mason jar so that it is 1/4 full.
2. Add food coloring
Add a few drops of food coloring.
3. Mix
Mix until blended well and there are no streaks in the mixture.
My mixture is now blended well.
4. Twist & turn
Twist and turn your jar until all of the mixture has covered the inside of the area of the jar completely.
5. Place it upside down
Place upside down onto a disposal container. Let it dry for approximately 4 hours or until the Mod PPodge has hardened. The extra liquid will have poured out.
6. Bake
Once dry, place your jars upside down onto a lined baking tray. Bake in the oven for 30-45 minutes at 250 degrees. If your jars are still opaque, continue baking in increments of 10 minutes.

I'm just seeing this. How wonderful! I've been working with modge podge for years. When any kind of liquid comes in contact. It would dissolve it.
Does the baking step, seal it so that water can be added for the vase?

Love them
On the tutorial it shows them coming out of the oven rt side up.
Am I suppose to turn them over half way, time wise?
I tried this 2 times and each time I put water in it for flowers the mod podge dissolved. The second time I let it dry overnight before baking.
What kind of Mod Podge? Matte, Semi-Gloss, Gloss???
