How to Hang a Giant Marquee Letter on Your Wall

When we were antiquing this spring, we bought a ginormous old marquee letter. We have trouble finding Gs so we were pumped! It's up to my hip so, probably 3 feet or so tall? We decided to hang it on a wall in our home using some corner brackets and 1" x 4"s and now it's become the jumping off point for a million other things in our living room!
We started by holding the G up to the wall and marking the flat places where we could put braces. There aren't any good photos because my husband held while I marked spots. :)
We laid out our materials on the floor with the G so that we could figure out the lengths of the braces. To attach the wood to the 3 1/2" corner brackets, we used the screws that came with the package of brackets. There were 4 in a package and we had 4 left over from another project, so it worked out perfectly!
We decided to attach as many brackets as possible, as long as it meant not making holes in the G (in case we want to use it elsewhere) and as long as the brackets didn't show (they don't!).
We used my favorite metal wall anchors to attach the brackets to the wall where we had marked. **We did go back and check to make sure all the marks lined up after sitting the G on each bracket.
We attached the middle bracket first, then the lowest, highest, and the vertical bracket to make sure the G keeps its shape since it's hollow on the back and could get a little wiggly when we held it on the floor.
The G is...pretty gigantic! It's right between our window (as shown) and our front door (on the right out of the photo). It's a huge statement piece and *definitely* noticeable when you come in our house!
Here he is! All finished! I love him so much. Has anyone else ever hung a giant marquee letter on a wall?!

@Jessica That would require cost of item plus shipping. Nice thought, but don't worry about me. I can always look from here.
