Hello again... I hope you enjoyed 'Off The Wall Ideas With Wallpaper': The Chest of Drawers, as seen here: http://www.hometalk.com/diy/bedroom/dressers/using-wall-paper-for-furniture-makeover-8502594
Picking back up where we left off...
The next step in this calm, serene, yet rustic and romantic vignette is creating wall décor from reclaimed fence panels and 'Serenity Sand' wallpaper from 'Walls Republic'.
I pulled several fence panels from my pile of reclaimed lumber. I then measured and cut the desired lengths of the frame. Using a staple gun (because I was out of staples for my pneumatic finishing nailer) I fastened each piece together. This is a temporary support until the backing is in place (pictured below).
I briefly sanded to bring out the wood grain and then proceeded to stain.
Next up, measuring up the exact length of 'Serenity Sand'.
The essentials to get the job done.
Paste on and roll with it.
Work out the kinks, paste and smooth it on over. Then be sure to wipe clean any excess paste with a damp cloth. ...and speaking of 'clean', please excuse my stained filth hand and fingernails. The life of a DIY'er.
Once all is dried the piece is ready to be attached to the frame.
...and there it is. A framed 'Serenity Sand'.
You're probably like, "what is this photo doing up in here?!" So, I took this picture of my girlfriend back in 2013. A setting sun by a calm lake made for an awesome silhouette shot, if I may say so myself. The perfect silhouette to be used for this project!
I enlarged the photo, printed it on resume paper and then began the task of carefully cutting it out.
A little 'Mod Podge' (from the Dollar Tree...yep, I said Dollar Tree) and a sponge brush to adhere it to the wallpaper.
The silhouette is affixed, and now to add some details. I used a reverse image technique to create the desired look.

The same technique I used in the faux card catalog project, as seen here: http://www.hometalk.com/diy/bedroom/furniture/upcycled-drawer-chest-to-diy-faux-card-catalog-reveal-6685996
Next up, two smaller frames were created using the same steps described above.
Paste away...
...and there you have it. Three frames created from reclaimed wood and 'Serenity Sand' wallpaper to give you wall décor.

BUT... That's not all!
