Cover ceramic tile with flops?
Hey guys!! I’m desperate for an easy, CHEAP solution to cover this ceramic tile floor. We will eventually replace the floor with luxury vinyl or even remove completely. Don’t know quite yet as those options are costly. Was wondering how horrible it would be to put floorpops over for the time being? I know they require a smooth surface. Any input would be awesome!! Thank you :)

Hi Bernadette! I would worry about floorpops with those grout lines. Peal and stick tile really do need a flat surface or you'll have issues. You could use some kind of filler in those grout lines for now. A caulk or silicone grout might do the trick and then give you a flat surface for peal and stick flooring.
You could also consider paint :) https://www.hometalk.com/diy/-43845822

I ran across this product one day and wished I had tile floors to try it out on! Rustoleum makes good products so if you are interested in painting your tile--check it out!

I wouldn't do it, you will have issues not too far down the road. Paint to cover or a couple of runners to distract from it.
What about this floor? https://www.frugalfamilytimes.com/2012/07/how-to-install-peel-and-stick-vinyl.html?m=1
If you used tiles the same size as your current tiles the grout lines would line up and look pretty good!
You can paint the tile

Hello Bernadette, you certainly can do the floor pops, you will be happy you did!! Then you will wonder why you waited so long to do them! Pick a pattern you really like so you don't tire of it too quickly, and make sure the floor is clean and dry before starting. They will stick nicely once you properly prep the tiles. I have attached a floorpops video for you to check out, hope this helps you!

I helped a friend paint her kitchen floor with the Rustoleum Paint. It was a tedious job, but it came out beautiful and has lasted. The peel and stick will not stick with the grout lines as that floor needs to be put on a flat surface.
I woiuld think the floor pops would work fine and especially since you don't plan on them bein there forever!
Floorpops. They stick really well. I just did my basement stairs over hideous brown vinyl.
