You can get in-person advice at your local hardware/home improvement store. Grout comes as a powder or pre-mixed. As you don't have experience, get it pre-mixed. They will show you the tool you need to push it into the grout lines. Work smallish areas at a time as once pushed firmly in place, you want to take a sponge to wipe off most of the grout from the face of the tiles.tool you need to push it into the grout lines. Don't use a sopping wet sponge. You don't want it so wet that it deteriorates the grout in the lines, just damp enough to wipe off the excess on the tile face.

Once you've grouted as much as you're going to do in a day, leave it to dry thoroughly. The most difficult part is cleaning the tile once you've finished. I'd suggest starting in an area that doesn't really get wet so you aren't risking getting moisture behind the tiles.

Finish up by sealing the grout lines with the appropriate sealer.

Clean the surface, wet the tile/grout with a large damp sponge and regrout. Make sure it is damp so new adheres to any old.
