Too many tiles?
We are replacing a tub with a walk in shower. The original floor is plain white 6” square tile. Looking to use white/grey 1’x2’ tile on shower wall and matching 1-2” squares on shower floor. Do we need to replace original bathroom floor? Is that too many different tiles?

I don't think you need to replace the floor. It sounds like it will blend because you are using the same color.
If you chose a the white tile tiles that blend well with the original white tile on floor of the bathroom, it should all blend nicely together. The gray tiles will add interest to the entire scheme.
It's not a lot of different tiles. Consider the shower as a separate 'room'. Your choice of colors will blend together.
It would depend on your personal taste but I think the 6" white tiles are classic. You might consider painting or replacing the grout with grey to tie it into the shower. I would at least try leaving the existing tile and see how you like it.
the white tile will balance it all out and should look nice ~ use white and gray for accents colors in towels, rugs, et
Doesn't sound like too much tile. Many bathrooms now tile the entire room. These colors will blend well together.
Hi Kerry, I would not replace the flooring, you can mix and match tiles, I think it will look great!
Leave the floor as is, if you don't care for the combination you can color the grout with gray to help blend it to the shower.
To completely remove the flooring tiles and re-install new ones would be a great deal of work and additional expense, that may not be necessary from a functional standpoint, if the floor is still intact and not showing its age.
Answer: Keep the white tiled floor.
White with white& grey sounds like a match to me.
I think it will look beautiful without replacing the bathroom floor as long as the tiles are in good shape.
No, it doesn’t sound like too many tiles to me. Variety in sizes makes things visually much more interesting.
No only if you want to
I see no problem. If you are happy with the look, that's all that matters.
