Call your state Highway Dept. and your state Agriculture Dept. Ask what wildflower seeds are planted along your Interstate Highways. These will be related to New Jersey specifically and often bloom in phases nearly year ‘round. Here in Texas, we treasure our Bluebonnet season, although Queen Ann’s Lace is blooming now. I believe this is because of the Highway Beautification Act supported by President Lyndon Johnson’s wife, Lady Bird Johnson. That’s this Deep South lady’s advice to a flower-loving Yankee. I wish you a beautiful wildflower garden. 🌺
