How do you keep shamrock plant alive during winter?
Is it possible to keep plant alive inside through winter after living outside this summer. Can it be cut back.

As someone who has 7 or so varieties of shamrocks, the advice so far is very good. My experience is that in MI winters with little sunlight I let mine slowly die back with occasional watering in quiet place in the house and the bulbs will rejuvenate come Spring.
Some shamrock varieties are hardy perennials. Are you wanting to enjoy a living green plant through the winter or just want to ensure it comes back next year? If you know the type you have it should be easy to determine if it is winter hardy in your climate. In which case you can let it go dormant and "rest" for the winter.
