I get my shrubs ready for the fall?winter weather?

I recently purchased a home in NEPA and I have holly bushes, azalea, and rhodedendron bushes. I am not sure if I need to do any pruning or prep as the seasons are chabging. I have heard that doing trimming at the wrong time can destroy blooms for the next year so ....help!

Where is NEPA,and what zone is it? You can prune evergreen shrubs any time of year if necessary. I don't recommend pruning right before cold weather. Pruning stimulates growth which can get killed back by cold temps.
