How to install gutters on a detached garage?
My garage has one gutter over the driveway, but not on the other 3 sides. Is this job easy for DIY? What size and material works best? With all of this rain I have water seeping in from the ground around it.

There is an art to hanging gutters. It's not just a simple hang and go. They have to be on the correct slant to work properly. I'd ask pro advice!
Agree, plus your connecting to the other gutters could be tricky.
They aren't that hard to install. You want to have a 1/4" drop per 10' of run, place the scupper and down spout at the low corner. You can get all the parts you need at Menards, Lowes etc.
Connecting to the old could be a problem, best to replace that also.
If you have at least some basic diy skills, you can do this yourself. These sites will give you step by step instructions.

I have a question....My husband just put new gutter on the front of our house...rained today...the water is shooting over the gutter and coming down. Are they tilted..to close or what..I would appreciate any help.
Do you have big enough down spouts? Gutters should be slanted slightly toward down spouts.
I would ask for professional advice too because you need everything installed properly to make the water flow in the right direction.
I recommend you use good stainless-steel fasteners to ensure that the gutters are properly fixed there. Still, you should only do that if you have at least some basic DIY skills or risk finding yourself in the same situation as I did a year ago. I wanted to install siding on my mother-in-law's suite near the house, and I got everything wrong. As a result, the water found its way under the siding, and it was really wet underneath. This led to the development of mold, and it took me so much time to get rid of it.
Thank you Everyone. A wealth of information. I will go to Lowes or Home Depot and look for supplies. I do not have to attach the gutter to another one. This one will serve to keep water off my patio. I have learned about pitch and what size I need. Again THANK YOU.
You would think this would be a simple project but it isn't. If this shows I would call the pros to have it done correctly. Where I live they aren't that expensive.
Thanks for sharing this! Great result!
I also think that this is not easy to install gutters on a detached garage and that it is better to address professionals for this kind of work. That's why I called the leaf home customer service. These guys installed our gutters at a reasonable price. Also, they suggested a great solution for the clogged gutters.
Adding gutters seems relatively simple to diy, however it is a bit more complicated than it appears. I had mine installed professionally by a company that had the materials they fabricated on site so each side of my home's gutters are customized to the exact length needed and the downspouts running appropriate away from the home. One of the best investments I've made on my home for the monsoons in Arizona.
You should be able to buy Rainwater Gutters and downpipes & fixings at your local DIY store. Simple job., but could get instructions at the store. You may wish to also use Water Butts too.
Gutters can potentially be tricky as you have to have the right pitch, you’re working around things with little space to maneuver. I know this isn’t a full solution, but I did a gutter alternative and it has definitely made a difference on our deck: https://www.flippingtheflip.com/2020/11/how-to-diy-gutter-alternative.html
