Restored Vintage Metal Hardware Cabinet

I recently scored this awesome metal hardware cabinet from a local vintage market and could not wait to bring it back to life. I have a thing for unique storage, especially if it's an old piece and this cabinet was just too good to pass up! It was the perfect piece to update for a recent Monthly DIY Challenge!
The cabinet was in rough shape when I spotted it, but I knew it could be turned into a beautiful addition to our basement. It was old, rusty and full of cobwebs, but nothing a little elbow grease and paint couldn't fix.
I first scrubbed every drawer and crevice of the entire piece using a Grid scrubber and a mixture of baking soda and water. After the entire piece and every drawer was clean and dry I lined the drawers in my spray shelter and gave each one a couple light coats of paint.
I could not be happier with how it turned out and love the added storage it provides in our basement. It's perfect for storing craft supplies and all my kids little toys that seem to get lost at the bottom of the toy box.
