When ever I'm looking for inspiration I look at the Apartment Therapy website... https://www.apartmenttherapy.com/categories/decorating

A few things I've learned along the way... is keep your walls light.

Don't put in too much furniture, less furniture will create a more open space as will furniture in lighter colors. If your purchasing new furniture, choose smaller scale pieces. If your current furniture is dark, you can always use slipcovers and get creative and paint other pieces.

Use your coffee table, end tables, under bed to create more storage. Organize what closet and cabinet space you have to maximize storage to reduce clutter. I love tall bookcases as both storage and to showcase my collectibles, and they can even act as a room divider or entry way.

For organizing I love Pinterest also, cause you can type in "organize tiny kitchen" and all kinds of tips will pop up you can see. And if I see some new paint technique, I can usually find directions to do my own version of it.

For saving money cause I redecorate for my disabled clients, I rely heavily on thrift stores, and then I make over pieces to be on trend. Paint can be magical.

    Best of all have fun.

Some of the rooms in my house are fairly small. The best way to gain space is to declutter. If things feel close, remove a piece of furniture. Find multiple uses for larger pieces. Never underestimate the use of baskets and bins

Hi Doris, I watch the Home & Garden channel a lot and they always say that mirrors will reflect light and make a space look bigger. I hung a large mirror in our bedroom and it doubled the amount of light coming in the window. Also use light colors on walls, floors and furniture. I hope these ideas help you. Good luck.

I'm all about light colors and floating shelves- it makes your space look and feel bigger instead of clunky bookshelves ect
