How to Make Tangy Sloppy Joe Sliders

Easy

Is your weeknight looking crazy busy? Have you even made dinner plans yet? Or is that just how it goes around my house? Well, over the years I’ve leaned on a few recipes that I know are crowd pleasers that don’t require a lot of planning ahead of time.

These tangy sloppy joe sliders are so easy and filling, and are guaranteed to please a hungry bunch. Using fresh ingredients, these can be ready in about 30 minutes.

So here’s your recipe, because I know you’re ready to get started. This will make a ton of sloppy joe meat, so adjust according to your size bunch you’re feeding.

Ingredients:

  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 1 white onion diced
  • 1 1/2 cups of French’s ketchup
  • 1/2 cup mustard
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 lbs ground beef

Instructions:

  1. In an oiled dutch oven or heavy bottom pan, sauté onions and pepper about 5 minutes or until the onions are clear.

2. Add ground beef, break apart and stir until fully browned. Drain.

3. Add beef, onion, and pepper mixture back to dutch oven and reduce heat to low.

4. In a separate bowl, combine ketchup, mustard, sugar, vinegar, and stir well.

5. Add BBQ sauce slowly to taste (you may need less or more depending how you like it).

6. When you’re happy with the taste of the sauce (remember, it’s meant to be a tangy sauce), stir back into the meat mixture.

7. Heat low for about 10-15 minutes until it’s heated all the way through.

Serve warm on rolls.

Pair your tangy sliders with a pickle or salad, and you’re evening meal is ready!

I can't make dough the way you do, it's weird.

Oh, this must be insanely delicious, I'm definitely going to make this. Now I can't eat this kind of meat because I was recently discharged from the hospital, the doctor told me to abstain from it for at least 2 weeks. But I have my own little secret, I know how to make the best homemade beef jerky, I think it will even be useful for me. All my relatives love this recipe, so they praise me at any family celebration. I don't want to brag, but I make probably the best jerky around. It is very important to marinate the meat correctly, the final taste depends on it. Sliders will have to wait for me, but after the ban is lifted I will definitely make this, it looks soo yummy.
