found this beauty at a local antique store and fell in love. She wasn't beautiful but certainly could be.i left and told myself if she's there next week scoop her up. Week later she was still there. I knew she'd be a project and she definitely was.
I knew she had To have a a new top I get worried when the veneer on some pieces is almost not in tact at all. But I had an idea.
i let her sit and I knew I didn't want a dramatic change or any crazy color Figured I'd just fix her up close to how she should look.
i cleaned and sanded her entirely I removed all the peeling veneer on her top and used it as a guide on the front of her top. I had my husband help me because we only own a jig saw and I knew I'd have it crooked. We took old fencing and yes Ed it as her new top. I painted her in Annie Sloan cream color chalk paint as well as and the old fencing. I used screws to attach the boards and think she turned out perfect. used water based poly on the top and waxed the rest of her.

  • Annie Sloan cream chalk paint mr muscle cleaner 80 grit sandpaper and 320 sand paper   (Local antiques store lowes and paint I had already)
