Rental Apartment Kitchen Makeover
The kitchen in my son's college apartment was tired and worn looking. The rental place wouldn't paint the cabinets, but said we could paint them if we wanted. Here is the before and after. I used Zinsser Primer and Dutch Boy High Gloss Cabinet and Trim paint in high gloss white. I removed the doors and used a 4 inch trim roller and a paint brush. I soaked the handles in a tub of soapy water to clean them. I couldn't believe the gunk that came off the handles! After the handles dried, I shined them up with pledge lemon oil.
Very tired looking cabinets.
The finish was worn out.
Water splashed cabinets under the sink.
Much fresher looking!
I think I'll put a picture for above the sink to add a splash of color.
