How do I make or buy a counter heat protector?

Large ceramic tile. Stone cutting board. Heatproof glass tray. I have a glass cutting board with rubber feet for my Mr. Coffee coffeemaker.
You can get 12x12 ceramic tiles at the home improvement store and add felt to the back so it doesn't scratch the table.

I use wooden squares that are vented for condensation in cooling. You can also do silicone, mats, or tile.

Hi Peggy: You can buy individual floor tiles from Home Depot or Lowes, or The Tile Store, glue some felt feet on them and that should do it. Good luck
