From what I've read, it's more economical to replace the doors and drawer fronts.
It depends on if your cabinet boxes are standard sizes or not. If they are standard you could possibly find doors to fit at a big box store or ikea. If they are custom sized they will need to be made special and will be more expensive.
You could look into cabinet door refacing (applying a veneer) or painting. Not knowing what is wrong with your Thermo film doors leads to a possible manufacturer defect, have you contacted them and told them the problem with the doors? Are they still under warranty?
The price can vary depending upon the door fronts you choose. Get at least two estimates.
If they are slab doors, you could overlay plastic laminate (Formica, Wilsonart, etc) over them if you could borrow a router & with a laminate trim bit.
There are thousands of patterns, colors & textures to choose from. The manufacturers will send you samples for free, after you order them on line.

You could cover with beadboard and trim and paint any color you want for a super cheap and pretty way to go.
It would depend on what you want as an end result but you could add luan and trim for shaker style doors as a DIY refacing. I've also seen people use the wallpaper that is vinyl and looks like beadboard on walls and cabinets.
