Taking the shelves out for the laundry baskets is a bad idea. Did you see how wobbly it was when she took the basket out? The shelves are also the supports. The way to fix this would be to put a back on it. Or she could have just moved the shelves to cater for the baskets. I can't see baskets lasting long if they are only hanging by their edges especially when full of clothes.
