Did I miss anything in this design for garden tools?

Thanks William- we did not have a lot of space to work with.

I've tried vertical storage for years and I had a full wall of my garage cluttered with garden tools were blocked by benches and tool boxes. Horizontal storage over 8' freed up an addition 16 feet on the other wall.

My original design did have that option, however I had to move the deep storage to another part of the garage. There is a door to the left of the tool rack that I wanted access to just in case I did not want to use the garage door. The space was a challenge because it is a passageway and I wanted to keep 36" of space to get into the house. I am working on a design to incorporate your question later on this month. You bring up a good point.

Once I built this with the slots 10" on center and put most of the tools up, I still had lots of tools that still needed a home. I put nails in between the slots to hold a few more tools to get ALL of them off the ground. Since you tools might not fit in the 1- 3/8" slots- I could use a 5/8 dowel to instead of a nail to create an additional spot for the odd sized tools. I used mini bungee cords for my more dangerous tools to hold them in place just in case they fell off. I'll work on a couple accessories this week and share the images when they are completed.
