I always move mine into the garage for the winter. I am also in michigan but the lower. I have never had a problem with storing it there.
As long as it is a dry area, it should be fine. Cover it if dust is a problem.
I would cover it with a insulated blanket as well
yes
Yep
If it is not humid in your area. Cold and wet would not be good
If you have a basement that would accommodate the furniture, I would put it there before storing in a garage. I have wicker style furniture made of resin and I store it inside during the cold weather in MD.
Yes, Cover with something to protect from dirt & dust etc.
It should be fine in the garage, just cover it to protect from the environment in there.
Cold should not hurt wicker. Just do not put plastic wrap or trash bags on top of furniture, It will cause moisture. Cover with old sheets or blankets.
A garage or spare room is fine for wicker storage. Furniture can also remain in place with plastic or cloth covers to keep dust from settling into cracks. Add a humidifier if the room is too dry or a dehumidifying unit if the space is too damp. Sometimes, a light misting can help eliminate overly dry conditions.
Your outdoor wicker furniture can be stored in an unheated area and be just fine. You might want to throw an old bedspread, sheets or canvas drop cloth over the pieces to protect from dust. Keeping them out of the weather will ensure that they last a long time.
As long as it's dry, wicker furniture should be fine in the cold. So a garage would work fine!
Hi curious: Geeze, lots of Michigan folks here :) I'm in lower eastern Michigan, and if the area is dry, there shouldn't be a problem. Decker reported!
