Hello. Could Velcro be an option?
I agree with the first idea they make pretty good stick on velcros now!
You could stitch some less slippery, more grippy fabric on the back side maybe. Or add string or ribbon to the corners and tie them to something.
Heavy duty velcro should do the trick. I use it to hold many things in place.
Either heavy duty velcro or the non-slip rubber shelf type liners you can get at Dollar Tree. I would glue the rubber liners in place if you choose to use them.
Velcro will work great for this and it may not take very much. Mark the positions on both the pillows and the the back portion of the furniture and apply a strip at each location. Easy peasy!

Have you tried ties or velcro?
HELLO THERE,
Use Velcro!
I used safety pins to attach mine to my chair, and for another friend I used adhesive velcro
I would sew on some ties and tie them to the top of the furniture too so they won't slide down.
Hi Linda: You can make ties out of coordinating material and tie them to your chairs. That's what I've done and it seems to work quite well. Just get a piece of material, or even a shoelace! about 18 inches long, fold it in half and sew the bend at the 1/2 way mark to the upper corner of your cushion and then tie it on.
Good luck
Hello there,
Use Velcro to hold them in place or use non shiny fabric and ties.
