Hi! It's Jess from Jessica Welling Interiors. Are you in a January organizing frenzy? I sure am! This week I tackled my master bathroom and I'm currently surrounded by Ikea boxes! One really important part of any home organization project is labels. And I like my labels to look good- good enough that they can be out in the open. Labels are important because they help the whole family remember what goes where. So today I'm going to show you how to make super-easy painted chalkboard labels. I use these for my laundry room and pantry. One thing to be aware of before you get started- any wood "chalkboard" labels aren't really washable anyway, so it's easier to just use a white paint pen. Let's get started!
Start by painting the wood pieces black. I used black chalk paint, but regular black acrylic paint would work just as well.
Use an oil-based white paint pen to write the labels.
Use super glue to attach the labels to the bins or baskets. And that's it, you're done!
You can see the rest of the laundry room here!
