Adding string lights around a pool area

We would like to put up string lights around our pool but want to make sure its safe. We love the ambiance that these small lights create and want to make the atmosphere more like a resort.

You can find great solar powered light strings several places. Check Amazon for ideas
What will you be attaching the lights to? There are some that are weather/water resistant and many that are battery operated so you don't have to worry about cords.
do you have trees to hang them in?
