Easy
You have completed the deck, porch or patio project. Let’s add some Solar Lights to your deck Lights to illuminate your space at night. There are lots of great choices on the market to fit any budget. The best part of this project, it is easy to install in a matter of minutes. This project took me less than 15 minutes to complete. These solar lights can be installed on fences, stairs, a pathway, railings, etc. The solar lights are weatherproof LED and Solar Powered Outdoor Lights with a warm white hue.
Let’s add some solar lights to your deck Step 1 remove the solar deck lights from the boxFirst, you should check your box to ensure you have all of the pieces. Let’s determine how many of the solar lights you will need. There are 16 in the package. For this project, I am using 14 of the lights with two of them as spares.
Step 2 clean your railings and stepsDon’t skip this step. It is important to clean your rails and steps from dirt, dust and cobwebs, etc. This will enable adhesive strips to hold the light. The kit has screws and adhesive strips.
Step 3 Install the Solar LightsFor the rails, I used the adhesive strips provided. You will need to remove the top paper and press the adhesive to the solar light. Next, you will remove the top piece of protective paper.
Next, pull the clear tab at the top for the battery to activate. The batteries are rechargeable and will need to charge for 8-12 hours in direct sunlight prior to use.
You need to firmly press it in place to make sure the adhesive adheres to the railing.
You can place the solar lights along the railing according to your preference.
The solar lights screw easily into the stair trend by using the enclosed screws. I placed one on each of the steps along one side only. These solar light are raised and could be a tripping hazard.
Step 4 Time To Admire the Finish Look
How easy was this project? It was less than 15 minutes to finish.I told you it was going to be an easy project. Such an inexpensive way to add some outdoor task lighting.
Now it may not be all pretty on the rail. To me it looks fine. If you don’t like the color, you can always paint them white ahead of time to match the railing.
Look how amazing it looks lit up at night.
Here is a close up of the stairs.
Here is another view of right side of the railing.
We love how this project turned out. The new lights ties in nicely with our other landscaping solar lights.Supplies:Philips Head ScrewdriverI would love for you to Subscribe to my  YouTube Channel here.

Where do you live? Do you have any suggestions for those of us who have snow accumulating, sometimes 8 inches or more, on the front porch steps and railings on many winter days?

It looks like a tripping hazard on the steps to me.
