Hi Amanda,
Be sure of which pest you have in your yard before trying to get rid of them:
Before You Buy a Mole Repellent
An important factor to consider before you invest in a mole repellent is whether you actually have a mole infestation. Gophers and voles are both commonly mistaken for moles, and while some products may work for all three pests, this is not the case for all mole repellents.
There is a wide range of "repellents" out there that may work for 1 situation but not another. Basically it comes down to removing the food source, which is why they chose your yard over another. This link takes you through the gamet of them with suggestions on what you can do.

Chances are they are after grubs in your lawn. If you get rid of the grubs, the voles will go too!
they are after the grubs in your lawn, if you use a product to kill the grubs they will leave but more info is below

The moles are likely eating insects- grubs in your soil.
If you got rid of the grubs in your soil they might travel to someone else’s lawn.
I would love to find a solution too! I’ve tried to Tomcat trap and the Sweeney worms and they both didn’t work for my troubles. Some have suggested to get a cat - or- eliminate the grubs in the soil.
In master gardener classes the expert lecturer commented there are four possible solutions, get a cat, get rid of the grubs, get a trap or live with them.
Sorry to say I can say I've have not found my answer to eradicate these pests.
Heres a link with some information and suggestions.
Good luck in your search for a solution!

Voles like living in mulch, leaf or grass piles, and tall ground covers. So, you can create a less-welcoming habitat if you don't mulch close to trees and keep mulch around shrubs to a minimum. Also, don't leave un-turned piles of leaves or lawn clippings around the yard.
You can’t exactly stop a digging animal by putting up a fence. So, if you want to create a barrier around your lawn or garden, you need first to dig a trench at least 30 inches deep, then line it with hardware cloth or a similar mesh or netting that has holes no larger than ¾ inch. It will also need to extend 5 to 6 inches above the ground. Of course, you may only find this method practical for smaller spaces.
Hardware cloth can protect tree trunks from moles nibbling their bark. Just wrap the trunk up to 18 to 20 inches high. You can also protect bulbs by surrounding them with a mesh cage before planting, but you might find this impractical if working with many bulbs at once.
So being a neat freak in the yard has many benefits.
Hi Amanda, we've had some success with pouring Pinesol down the hole. You'll need to repeat if you have heavy rains.

You will need to buy a Sonic probe that you put in the run.=, or call in the mole/vole man
One preventive note is they are attracted to landscaping with long grass, lots of ground cover, brush & wood piles (especially around trees), and heavily mulched planting beds. They burrow into high dry spots under large trees, buildings and sidewalks.
