Use a castor-oil based repellent.
The only true way to get rid of armadillos is to trap them in cage traps and remove them from the area. There is no effective repellent or deterrent product that you can simply buy and spray or sprinkle on your property to make armadillos leave. Examples of bogus products include moth balls, coyote urine, and castor oil.

Call a zoo or animal control to come catch him and send him back to Texas
I got rid of my armadillo by putting a used lump of litter that my cat urinaled on in the hole. that did the trick. I tried human hair but that didn’t work. My sister used a pool tablet I think it was chlorine and hers left. If you don’t have a cat maybe someone who does will help you out. It’s a more humane way to get rid of a pest. I don’t like killing anything. We live in Florida so we have lots of wild life.
